While from the comfort of my virus free location, I'm certainly not freaking out, there are some regions that justified in doing so. Hospitals overwhelmed mean people who need urgent care from all causes are at risk, so keep an eye on excess death rates.

Also, places like Australia, while deaths relative to cases is down, because Australia had 130K cases in the last 24 hours, that matters less - the number of dead is breaking their records.

So don't go to sleep quite yet.

Keep up the measures known to work - wear a mask, social distance, isolate if infected, and get vaccinated.
