This all seems so surreal. I'm someone who was based in the US for a few years, but am now in New Zealand.
And now... the rest of NZ is back to the new normal ('Level 1'), where everything is open except out borders. While Auckland, all going well, will be Level 1 in about a week.
Way lower than most everywhere in the world. Again.
Actually, the figures show that it isn't too bad for the economy. Not much different with the 'living with the virus' - which NZ shows is a choice.
Frankly, and bluntly, I far prefer a management strategy where oodles of people don't die.
