There are many tests on social media that ‘prove’ masks don’t work, and they don’t seem to be going away. Here’s a test that you can try at home that shows that masks (or face coverings) work.

Here’s the ‘spit test’.

Step 1) Put on any type of face-mask or face covering

Step 2) Face a mirror

Step 3) Attempt to spit on the mirror.

See how much spittle makes it to the mirror. If the mask prevents any of the spit from making the mirror, you have a mask that is effective at REDUCING spit, droplets, or mucus from being transmitted.
