One hundred Covid deaths from a small population of 175,000 was cause for concern.

Today it is 562.

There would be merit in following policies that actually work, rather than the defeatist 'living with the virus', which frankly, disgusts me.

I have lived through one of the world's toughest lockdowns, which resulted in the elimination of community transmission. When the virus came again, we eliminated it again - and we'd do it again too. Today, our borders are closed, our economy is doing fine, and we have zero measures because of the virus - I am living my life exactly as I did a year ago.

There is no hope in the current plan.

“You can’t wake a person who is pretending to be asleep.”

The Navajo Nation would do well to take matters in their own hands, and copy measures that actually work.
