I’m a noob on Medium, though my sister and I discussed this exact point after she gave me one clap, and a stranger gave me ten claps.

Over the phone, I said “here’s what your applause sounds like” and gave one clap. I then said: “here’s what the ten sounds like” and clapped ten times.

Since then, I haven’t given one clap, it just seems weird to me. I give a minimum of five, and if I really like the article (or poem), then a full fifty.

But then, I’m a noob, with just 17 published articles (I joined in September) and I’m eager to learn as much as I can about Medium.

PS: How could I not give you a full 50!! ;)
