I am healthier than I was ten years ago, and in some ways more than I was twenty years ago. Health seems to become more of a focus as time marches by.

One thing for sure, my circle of friends today is radically different to what it was twenty years ago.

That sadly includes a friend which took the pandemic to break a bond we formed at the age of 12. He simply couldn't accept that masks were helpful, because WHO and my own country's government said.

Having supplied him the scientific data, some years old, he poked fun. My last text? To my shame I invited him to get his head out of ass.

Bottom line was that I was no longer willing to accept compromise. As someone who has an autoimmune condition, compromise no longer felt like the right path.

Just like deciding to no longe put off no gratitude.

Life is too short to compromise the big stuff.

Great post Benjamin.
