Excellent advice, I loved the Aikido references. Having done martial arts myself the point made has extra resonance.
The issue for me is less an acceptance of a good philosophy, and more about the practical application in my daily life.
Like Aikido, skill on comes with practice. Start with the basics in slow motion, then perfect each technique, gradually speeding up once competence is achieved.
Training is always best with a training partner - and better still - a master (or coach).
